Posted by eltee.de • Friday, July 8. 2011 • Category: Trader Notizen
CHICAGO, July 7, 2011 – The competition in the 2011 World Cup Championship of Futures and Forex Trading® is as hot as today’s weather in Phoenix.

As the year-long competition passes its halfway mark, a tightly-bunched field is dominated by veterans of the competition. Kurt Sakaeda, winner of the World Cup Championship of Futures Trading® in 2000 (595%), and 2004 (929%), is on top for year-to-date 2011 with a net return of 86.3% through July 4.

Sakaeda is being chased by a trio of former World Cup trophy winners. On his tail is Tim Rea at 57%, Michael Cook at 55.2% and Andrea Unger at 44.4%. Rea finished third in last year’s competition with a 156.6% return; Cook won the title in 2007 with a 250% gain; and Unger is the three-time defending titlist (672% in 2008, 115% in 2009 and 240% in 2010).

The leader board reflects an international mix of traders and styles. Sakaeda is a seasonal trader who lives in Chicago, Rea trades proprietary computerized systems from New Zealand, Cook is a former European market maker now living in Alaska, and Unger is a money management expert from Italy

It has taken triple digits returns to win the competition 22 of the last 27 years.

The competition, sponsored by PFGBEST and Robbins Trading Company, is the industry's longest continuously running contest for real-time, real-money trading. Traders vie for prizes from leading software and data vendors, coveted pewter and crystal Bull & Bear trophies, authority to trade five $50,000 awards accounts, and possible spots on the advisory staff at www.WorldCupAdvisor.com.

Standings are updated daily on the web sites of PFGBEST and WorldCupAdvisor.com. For more information, or to arrange for an interview with a top competitor, contact Pat Campbell (pcampbell@pfgbest.com/ 312-775-3411).
